By 2023, Kenya will welcome more than 320,000 visitors from Asia, with India, China and Japan leading the influx. The introduction of direct flights is expected to boost tourism growth and make Kenya more accessible to Asian travelers..

Offering direct routes to Nairobi, AAX has long been a key player in the Kenyan market for tourists from Malaysia and other Asian countries exploring Kenya’s popular destinations, including safaris. , coastal and heritage sites. The new route is set to strengthen connections between the two regions

AAX CEO Benjamin Ismail said these flights are in line with the company’s overall mission to connect Asia to Africa, opening a world travel route between the two countries. A direct route to Nairobi will not only boost tourism in Kenya, but will also strengthen Kenya’s role as a key destination for African tourism, Ismail said..

The collaboration between AAX and KTB will include joint marketing initiatives and coordination efforts to improve the travel experience for passengers. As a major hub, Kuala Lumpur provides Kenyan travelers with destinations across Asia, including Japan, China, South Korea and Australia.
