Murima Imeguzwa: Famous kingpin dethroned
For more than three months, Kenyans have been told how to deal with Murima and how to deal with this matter – do what you can, be strong, but never dare to interfere in sacred matters.
These orders were given, not casually, by Vice President Rigathi Gachagua, who warned his political opponents to approach Murima with caution, lest a political disaster befell on them.
Despite being aware of his actions, Gachagua cautioned in the heat of the moment…At church, funerals, roadside gatherings and official inaugurations of government institutions, and even at public events.
After appointing himself as Murima’s messiah, Gachagua assumed responsibility for all the duties related to the “Mountain,” occasionally appearing humorously on Mount Kenya’ trails, praying, and surveying specific sites. He also may have utilized the Mountain gods’ arms with open arms.
On certain occasions, he would go missing for seven days, immersed in the sacred Mount Kenya thickets, without food or drink, and engaging in deep conversations with the magnates who governed the mountain caves.
“I dedicated a week’s worth of time to prayer and fasting, as well as taking breaks in the middle of Mt.Kenya forest,” he would tell mourners at the funeral of his former teacher, Kano Ndumbi.
He has become the king of the mountain. It is the champion of the Mount Kenya region and the biggest driver of Murima – socially, economically and politically..
Due to the vastness of their constituencies, he would quickly address their coffee issues, become involved in the illicit drink trade, rush to rescue them from riverside expulsions, establish himself as the preferred choice of Marigiti traders, and even demand more financial support from them.
Yet despite the harsh warnings and strict guidelines, there were still some who felt unconcerned about the roadside directives; they persisted in carrying out their daring endeavors to invade King James’ estate.
As he traveled through Murima, making desperate pleas in churches and giving emotional funeral speeches, his adversaries were now on the other side of the city learning how to enter the mountain, attack it, and gain entry to the throne.
What started as a silent whisper turned into a bold call for a royal strike – and the shadowy men who now trampled Morima began to look bold.
It was show time… and King Morima knew it.
Sighing, out of breath, the king quickly addressed his kingdom on live television, giving a number of recommendations to remove him and spread the attack.. .
But even after a three-hour long speech, broadcast to millions, with a flourish of language and a completely ineffective presentation, Morima’s cunning plan to add character is not can be prevented.
And the day came… the mountain king was summoned to the entrance hall. They had already planned to eat him for dinner, and nothing he said or did could stop their hunger.
In just five hours, five deadly hours, the beasts bared their teeth and shook their claws… It was time to deal not only with Morima, but to overthrow the king..
