President Ruto further expressed the hope that the banks’ support will help SMEs develop innovative business models, strengthen financial controls and access investors, markets and credit. “I welcome the commitment of the banking industry to refinance SMEs by providing Ksh 150 billion in new loans every year from 2025,” Ruto said.
He promised to support the government through policies and corporate support, including measures to speed up the payment of all government bills once the current approval process is completed.
