A suspect has been taken into custody in connection with the horrific murder of Willis Ayieko, a human resource manager at the Wells Fargo Company.
Victor Ouma Okoth was named as a primary suspect in the horrific act by the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) on Tuesday morning. Ouma was flushed out of his hiding place in Dandora Phase IV in Nairobi on Monday night, according to detectives.
According to reports, the suspect, who is currently being held at Muthaiga Police Station, used the money from the crime to rent a home. “In the forensic-led investigation being carried out by a joint team of DCI’s Homicide, CRIB, and Operations detectives, the suspect was placed at the scene of crime through forensic analysis,” the DCI said.
The search for Ouma’s accomplices is still ongoing, according to detectives.
He had reportedly gone missing on Friday, October 18, 2024, after attending a burial in North Gem location.
On Tuesday, October 22, that his vehicle was found abandoned near a petrol station in Sabatia, Vihiga County.
