According to Abraham Mutai, the chairman of Central Rift Athletics Kenya, Chepkemel in Turbo, is where the finishing touches are being done, the competition’s venue.

Athletics Kenya managing director and head of youth development Barnabas Korir said 70 percent of opportunities will be given to local athletes.
Although this is an international event, we have confirmed top players from Ethiopia, Morocco, Uganda and Tanzania, Korir said.
Korir said AK is working with ADAK and AIU to inform and monitor athletes and coaches to prevent doping cases..
