The workers have asked Siaya Governor James Orengo to intervene in this situation since workers from other centers have already been paid. She lamented that more than 10 CHP companies in that center did not receive a penny from the national government.
Her co-worker Pamela Pambo had similar thoughts, lamenting that no one was willing to explain to them why others were being paid and some not yet.
After contacting for comment, a member of the Siaya District Health Management Committee, Dr. Martin Ka Onyango, said he was aware that there were some who did not receive the allowance but they said they are investigating the matter.
He gave word that the payments were being handled by the Ministry of Health in Nairobi and they have noticed that those with incorrect information are those who have not yet received the payment but said the matter will be resolved soonest.
