How can Israel attack Iran?

Israel has vowed to retaliate against Iran’s missile attack on Tuesday, with more than 180 ballistic missiles and most of them intercepted by Israel’s air defense systems.

Below are some ways that Israel, with American support, could respond..

Go after Iran’s military facilities
Some analysts believe Israel may respond by targeting Iranian military facilities, particularly those that produce ballistic missiles like those used in the attack on Tuesday. It could also destroy Iran’s air defense systems and missile launchers.

If Iran attacks its nuclear facilities, it may hinder Tehran’s progress in creating a nuclear weapon. Iran’s nuclear program is spread over many locations, only some of which are built underground.

Even so, an extensive assault on Iran’s nuclear facilities would likely result in dire consequences, potentially culminating in Iran rushing to develop a nuclear weapon. Washington has said it would not support such an action by Israel.

Richard Hooker, a retired U.S. Army officer who served in the U.S. Under Republican and Democratic presidents, the National Security Council recognized a “distinctive possibility” that Israel could strike Iran’s nuclear facilities, but not deemed it probable because it would put the Iranian leadership in retaliation for something dramatic.”

“It’s not clear (rising international oil prices) will deter Israelis,” said David Des Roches, a former Defense Department official who is now involved in politics. of the Gulf and the National University of Southeast Asia. He also said that Israel will consider the increase in international oil prices as an advantage for the pre-election campaign of US President Donald Trump.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is more aligned with Trump’s Republicans than Democrats..
