KCSE candidate fainted in exam room when an official slapped her.

On Tuesday morning, a KCSE student from Kenya fainted following  multiple slaps delivered by an official from the Ministry of Education. The situation unfolded at Sironga Girls High School in Bogichora area, Nyamira County, while the examinations were in progress.

As per a police statement sourced by Kenyans. co. ke, the candidate was taking her exams in the designated exam room, which was inspected by Beatrice Kendi, a quality assurance officer, around 9 a. m. To carry out a standard inspection.

Allegedly, the officer noticed that the student was chewing on something that appeared  suspicious, leading to a deeper investigation.

The officer in question calmly approached the student and, following  some inquiries, unfortunately resorted to delivering a few slaps to the individual upon not being able to find any evidence.

The police statement indicated that despite moving closer and slapping the student  multiple times, no evidence was recovered as a result of the incident.

The police statement mentioned that the student was still feeling  unsettled during class. Nevertheless, as the exam concluded around 10 am, the student unfortunately collapsed.

She was promptly taken to the school dispensary for first aid, where she received care and was later released. The examination invigilator at the center also confirmed this.

After the incident, security and education officials paid a visit to the school to investigate  the issue that has caused a public outcry.

Authorities recently visited the school and found that during the morning exam session around 9 am in room 9, a representative from the Ministry of Education (Quality Assurance), Beatrice Kendi, conducted a surprise inspection. Upon entering the room, she noticed a female student chewing on something that she suspected to be unauthorized material, as stated in the report.
