Murder of Kirinyaga MCA’s daughter remains a mystery.

Nyakio’s body, which was found two days after she home, had visible marks on the neck indicating that she had died of asphyxiation.

The deceased is the daughter of MCA candidate Lucy Njeri Mwaniki, who revealed that the girl was in good spirits when she left her parents’ house on Saturday, October 19..

Despite initially contacting her daughter, Lucy Najeri became concerned when the daughter was not answering her calls.  She immediately knew something was wrong because her daughter was not the type to go without calling.

After what seemed like eternity, Lucy’s fears got revealed when a strange call came in from a friend saying that the Zetech University graduate died..

Upon learning of her daughter’s death, Lucy Njeri admitted that it was difficult to accept her departure and said that she still felt a sense of obligation as she looked at the lifeless body of the deceased.

“I saw my daughter lying peacefully,” she said. “Good spirit. You’d think we were talking because my bond never broke.”

The nominated MCA also shared her emotional state of losing her only child.

“This was a murder case and many other horrible things that no parent or anyone else should experience. I’m left with pain, hurt and in shock.”.

It was evident from the first sightings that the girl was tortured before her life ended.

Meanwhile, investigators have identified a suspect – the alleged victim’s boyfriend – who they believe committed the crime during a romantic relationship. . However, the late Nyakio’s family rejected this theory.

Nyakio’s girlfriend has been questioned by the police as the murder investigation continues.

This recent incident shows the alarming nature of the girls who have died at the hands of attackers, some of whom have not yet been brought to justice.
