No money was paid:, Kalonzo and Wamalwa:,

In order to clarify the allegations, Wamalwa pointed to a publication that stated how he and Kalonzo received Ksh 50 million and Ksh 100 million respectively for opposing the removal of Gachagua.

The former cabinet minister stated that, the allegations of bribery in this online advertisement are baseless and no money has been transferred to their accounts for this purpose.

After Kakamega Senator Bonnie Khalwale shared a post showing how the two Azimio bosses got millions from the Gachagua prosecution case, Wamalwa took it upon himself to clarify the cause.

The official post added that Kalonzo and Wamalwa were given Ksh 50 million and Ksh 30 million respectively as cash advance to provide the necessary support for Gachagua.

While sharing the banner, Khalwale sought clarification from Eugene Wamalwa on whether the allegations were true or false. “This story is fake, I hope you have been able to separate the fact from the fiction of my brother Boni Khalwale,” Wamalwa replied.

These accusations are against the background of Kalonzo’s strong opposition to the dismissal of Rigathi Gachagua. The Wiper Party leader accused President William Ruto of threatening the former Vice President.

Kalonzo said the removal of Gachagua is a well thought out plan with a lot of political support. “The impeachment process has been decided and the National Assembly will meet on Friday, which means they have decided on the decision of the senators,” Kalonzo said.

“This country is plagued by all kinds of corruption. The Wiper party leader also said that if the courts do not come to stop the whole process, Gachagua’s goose will be boiled when President Ruto takes his candidate to the National Assembly and on Friday.

In an interview, Kalonzo firmly denied the allegations that the head of state approached him to take the position of vice president after Gachagua. Kalonzo said Ruto has yet to approach him for a cabinet position, but said that even if given the opportunity, he would not choose it.
