Prime Commercial Building up for Auction in Nairobi Westlands

A prime commercial office building in Westlands, Nairobi, has been put on auction following an advertisement in one of the local dailies posted on Monday, November 25.

The building that accommodates 32 office suites has been put up for sale by public auction and members of the public have been invited to submit their bids.

For interested buyers, the building is situated within the TRV Parkwest Office Suite Centre on Third Parklands Avenue.

The property lies off Third Parklands Avenue turning right approximately 130 metres from its junction with Mpaka Road. It is located at the rear of the TRV Centre,’’ the notice reads in part.

The title deed of the building, according to the auctioneer, is on a leasehold interest and active for the next 41 years.

The building, according to him, sits on 1,181 square meters of land and is suitable for commercial use.

The title has a current leasehold interest for the unexpired term of 50 years from December 1, 2015, at an annual rent of Ksh59,840. According to the notice, the remaining leasehold interest is approximately 41 years before expiration.

The area covered by the title is approximately 0. 1181 hectares, equivalent to 0. 2918 acres.

Its main features include a 15-story office block comprising office suites and a restaurant. There is also a basement level that provides three parking spaces in its lower floors.

Intercom facilities and CCTV cameras make the property more attractive by enhancing the security level. It also has parking spaces at the basement levels, the ground floor, first, second, and third floors.

The building is connected to the main electricity grid with a backup generator in case something goes wrong and also has a borehole for water supply.

The auctioneer did not disclose the reason for the sale of the building despite the harsh economic environment that has seen many businesses shut down or change hands through auctioning.
