Ruto insisted on Gachagua as his deputy despite the majority support for Kindiki, Kabogo revealed.

Kabogo revealed that Ruto single-handedly chose Gachagua as his deputy, following a popular demand for National Minister Kiture Kindiki as UDA’s deputy leader.

“There were about 26 of us in a room and we voted. 21 of us said yes to Kindiki as Ruto’s leader, only three chose Gachagua. Waiguru voted for one, Muturi the other, but Ruto decided through Solitude that Gachagua should be chosen as his mate.

“Ruto asked me, William, you have become a governor before and you wanted a deputy, why can’t I make my choice?, Ruto asked. Then i asked him, why?” You brought the case to us for resolution, he always found his way and stayed with Gachagua.”

On Gachagua’s judicial actions, Kabogo said it was time for Ruto to tell Kenyans why he stayed with Gachagua and why. They have opposed him to the point of wanting him removed from office.

Kabogo also said that Gachagua made his downfall by playing the “Watu and Mlima” race card against other Kenyans.

In his apology on Sunday, Kabogo said Gachagua was not sincere when he tried to count his apology.

Gachagua asked Ruto, MPs and Kenyans to forgive him and his wife if he has wronged them.

Ruto refused to talk about the impeachment and his allies tried to remove Gachagua from office.

Gachagua has been accused of corruption and law-breaking, including amassing wealth through fraudulent means..

Referring to the ongoing impeachment case against Gachagua, Kabogo said it is time for Ruto to tell Kenyans why he agreed with Gachagua and why now does he want him out from the office.

Kabogo also blamed Gachagua for his defeat by playing the “Watu and Mulima” ethnic card against other Kenyans.

In his apology on Sunday, Kabogo said Gachagua was not sincere with his apology.
