“This is not your time for TikTok videos!”

Kingi the Speaker gave the candidates the opportunity to seek clarification or ask questions after the speeches of Abdi Ahmed, the Deputy Director of the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) and Gachagua’s advisor, Ndegwa Njiru.

After that, slanders and movements were seen and heard from the House of Parliament, so the Speaker King warned the Parliament to handle the work at hand professionally.

Kingi warned: “Honorable members, you have the opportunity to explain or ask questions, this is not the time to get TikTok videos. Please, this is a very important issue. Don’t Shame the house.

In previous sessions, many lawmakers have focused on being influential by taking selfies and videos to post on social media.

This brings criticism from people who reject the laziness of lawmakers in matters before Parliament.

The meeting was heated as some of the senators expressed their frustration at not being given a chance to speak.

Kingi the Speaker first warned Seki Lenku (Kajiado), Chute Muhammed (Marsabit) and Okia Omtata (Busia) for  misbehaving and warned them not to create chaos..

“Seki, this trial will end after midnight tonight, the witness will answer the questions, and then we will go to another round. You can’t say the chair is unfair. You must say sorry or ill send you out ,” King warned you.”

The Senate is scheduled to conclude Gachagua’s trial on Thursday, which could continue until Friday if a resolution cannot be reached by midnight.
Gachagua, who’s been in power for two years, is seeking another Senate revival after the National Assembly voted to remove him from office..
